Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. FAQs

Edwardian furniture, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, is characterised by lighter proportions, refined neoclassical influences, and a departure from the heavy, dark ornamentation of the Victorian era.

Cabinet makers of this period frequently utilised fine timbers such as mahogany, walnut, and satinwood, often enhanced with delicate stringing, crossbanding, and brass or cast-metal hardware.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit period-appropriate joinery techniques, such as hand-cut dovetails on drawer boxes, alongside timber shrinkage patterns and secondary woods consistent with early 20th-century British manufacturing.

Such multifunctional pieces serve well as accent storage in living rooms, studies, or hallways, providing character and vertical storage while pairing effectively with both modern minimalist and traditional decor.

Preservation requires maintaining stable indoor humidity levels, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent timber fading, and occasionally applying appropriate natural wax to nourish and protect the wood finish.
