Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This tall 1930 industrial commercial bank of drawers consists of a warm brown oak frame enclosing sixty-six shallow drawers arranged in three vertical columns. Each shallow drawer has a metal cup handle combined with an integrated label holder, and the entire unit rests on a plain plinth base. Visible signs of age include surface wear and scuffs across the timber, with areas of veneer lifting along the sides. Practical dimensions measure 150 cm high, 100 cm wide, and 50 cm deep, offering substantial storage capacity. The internal dimensions for each drawer measure 5 cm high, 28 cm wide, and 45.5 cm deep. This piece serves as a functional storage cabinet for organising stationery, craft materials, or collections within an office or studio space.

FAQs

Historically used in commercial offices, haberdasheries, and institutions, multi-drawer cabinets provided organised storage for index cards, documents, tools, and small wares.

Commercial cabinets from the late nineteenth and mid-twentieth centuries were commonly constructed from solid oak, pine, or walnut, featuring metal cup handles and integrated label holders.

Authentic pieces feature original metal drawer pulls, constructed timber drawer bases, hand-stamped serial numbers or maker plates, and natural patination across exposed wood surfaces.

A substantial multi-drawer cabinet functions as a focal storage piece in an open-plan living area, hallway, or home office, pairing well with natural linen, metal accents, and contemporary artwork.

Clean timber surfaces with a dry microfiber cloth, apply natural beeswax polish periodically to nourish the wood, and keep internal drawer slides smooth with paraffin wax.
