A rosewood box is a nineteenth-century British lidded box, named by the job it did: holding tea, carrying a writing slope, keeping jewellery, sewing kit or dressing-table bottles.
Rosewood boxes have been listed on Sellingantiques since 2008, with over five hundred passing through since then.
