Description

This is a good early 19th century William IV period Overmantel mirror in super condition with its original gilding dating from around 1840. The mirror has a stunning design with a trellis frieze, attractive moulded pilasters decorated with anthemion and wonderful scrolled acanthus leaves to the corners with shell crests.

The gilding is original to the frame with a lovely antique colour and patina and the mirror glass is in nice clean condition, with no blemishes or marks. The back boards are the original, in good sound order.

This is a lovely period piece and a nice practical size measuring 116 cms wide 80 cms high by 12 cms deep.
