Antique Saville Armchair by George Jack for Morris & Co

An ample sized and very comfortable English 19th century antique Morris & Co armchair, the model is called the Saville chair and was designed for Morris by George Jack. Superb quality and in excellent, strong and original condition. The show wood is in walnut and features shapely open arms with roll over ends, the Morris chair stands on turned front legs that have inset panels at the top, finishing in the original pot castors. Traditionally upholstered with all the innards intact and strong. A beautifully designed, English Arts & Crafts ample antique Saville armchair by the architect George Jack for Morris & Co around 1890.
