Description

A highly striking and unique pair of maple wood painted side chairs,

American, from the Federal Period. C1805

This period was known to draw on various English prototypes such as designs from Hepplewhite and Sheraton moulding them together into a special American blend.

The backs are unusual with vertical slender splats, beautiful variation in flowers and shell motifs. Traditionally re upholstered pads, in calico ready for top material- which we can provide upon request.
