Georgian Mahogany Parcel Gilt Fretwork Wall Mirror

An early C19th, George III period, mahogany fretwork and parcel gilt wall mirror. Fretwork crest with pierced foliate gilt centre. Parcel gilt inner border around the plain mirror glass. Fretwork apron. Boarded back and strung with chain for hanging.

This mirror measures approximately 102.5 cm (40.5'') tall, and 58 cm (23'') wide. The mirror glass measures approximately 67.5 cm (26.5'') deep, and 39.5 cm (15.5'') wide.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This mirror is in a good condition commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Minor marks and blemishes to the frame, in keeping with age and use. Later mirror glass. The gilt work has been sympathetically touched up.
