Superb quality Japanese vase decorated in typical Imari palette with varying panels of intricate pattern .

The tapering ovoid body with a flared neck . Three large panels or vignettes of decoration, interspersed with flowerhead peony decoration with gilded highlighting.

In excellent original condition , with no damage or repairs.

Meiji period Imari porcelain is recognised by its intricate hand-painted decoration, combining underglaze cobalt blue with overglaze iron red, green enamel, and gold leaf gilding. Produced during late 19th-century Japan, these wares often depict detailed natural motifs such as peonies, foliage, and geometric borders.
