Georgian Inlaid Mahogany Dome Top Box

18th century
Description

Beautiful Georgian mahogany and inlaid dome top box. The box has an ebony and boxwood chequered line inlay on all the corners with a beautiful shell inlay to the top and a "Prince of Wales" feathers inlay to the front. The box stands on its original small bracket feet and retains its original brass lock. The inside is plain and there are no signs it has had anything inside in the past. The box is in very good condition and is a lovely colour.
