Substantial Welsh Oak Elbow Chair

An early 19th century Welsh elbow or armchair, made entirely from dense, native oak of excellent colour and patina and attractive detail - the shaped front seat rail with a pair of fanburst spandrels all cut from a single piece, the elegantly shaped and outswept arms with rounded, curved and tapering supports and a slightly larger than average scale.
 
Probably from Carmarthenshire.
