Early 19th Century North Country Elm & Oak Spindle Back Country Chair

Description

An early 19th century north country elm & oak spindle back country chair.

The chair has a lovely patina to the arms. The top back rest is a later replacement and one of the back spindles differs slightly from the others. There is evidence of historic repairs (please see photographs) but the chair remains imposing and attractive.
