Lincoln Restorations has dated this Victorian Mahogany Nursing Chair to the 1870s.
A comfortable but decorative chair.
This chair features an elegantly shaped balloon back complete with a serpentine front rail which joins 2 finely shaped cabriole legs which stands on its original solid polished brass castors with brown porcelain wheels. The chair also features its original glossy french polished finish with the idillic lightly faded Mahogany Colour which we have just waxed to enhance.

This chair has been fully restored by us and freshly re-upholstered to a high standard in a plum red velvet chenille material with matching braid. The seat is a traditionally padded and has a sprung seat which we have traditionally rebuilt so the chair is comfortable and does not clunk when sat in.

If the material is not to your taste we would be able to quote for re-upholstering this chair for you if you enquire.
This item is structurally solid, in good order with no loose joints.
Please note this item is in very good condition for its age but does have signs of wear and tear, however, we feel that these points are which adds to part of its charm and character with it being antique.
