An elegant set of four Victorian walnut dining chairs of outstanding quality. Manufactured by cabinet makers John Taylor & Son of Princes Street, Edinburgh. In 1852 they were appointed "Cabinet makers and Upholsterers to Her Majesty The Queen"

Each chair bears the stamp-John Taylor & Sons-Manufacturer-Edinburgh.

Having balloon backs with pretty finely carved decoration to the centre rail.
Stuffed serpentine shaped seats, over carved and scrolled cabriole forelegs, with sabre back supports.

Lovely rich warm colour to the walnut.
Upholstered to a very high standard using traditional methods. The fabric has a small delicate print in an off white and muted pink shade, which is virtually as new.

All chairs are in excellent antique condition.
