The eagle with finely-carved feather detail perched upon a carved rocky outcrop ,and the raised pedestal plinth with hatched /chequered decoration .
The original grey silvered mercury convex mirror plate surrounded by an ebonised reeded slip .

Deeply moulded cavetto-section circular frame with carved 'split-pearl' and spiral detail to the inner , with large closely spaced balls/spheres to the outer . The edge of the frame with triple moulded detail .
In excellent original condition . Original gilded finish with only very minor historic repairs to losses of gesso and gilding .
