Pair of 1920'S Caned Mahogany Armchairs with Original Chinoiserie Decoration

A lovely pair of decorative and comfortable armchairs dating from the 1920's. They are in excellent structural condition with there original surface still intact - we have purposely not added to the original finish as their slightly distressed surface adds greatly to their charm and appeal.

We suggest the pair have been re-caned approx 30 - 50 years ago and are in good condition - enough time has elapsed for the caned panels to take on an appealing colour.

The original cushions were not sympathetic or of a satisfactory quality - feather filled, black silk replacements were made which we feel compliment the overall decoration.
