Late 19th Century Walnut Revolving Desk Chair by 'J B Delaney' of Birkenhead.

A handsome and comfortable late 19th century walnut revolving desk chair. The frame bares a kite mark and the cabinet makers stamp of 'J B Delaney' of Birkenhead .Being sensitively and professionally restored the chair still retains a pleasing surface, colour and patina - all indicative of its age. An unusual and decorative flag motif is carved to the central splat - suggesting it may have been a commission from a shipping or steel company.

The drop in seat is original; the hand coloured leather covering is a recent addition.

The castors are original, and they are in good condition.

Due to slight wear, the kite mark cannot be used to pinpoint the age of the piece
