Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This pair of French Riviera ornate wrought iron armchairs dates from 1900 and exhibits a lovely patina and age alongside original paint work. The chairs have recently received new spring seats covered in a quality hide in a dark maroon shade, complemented by back and armrests in a patterned Zoffany brocade fabric featuring pale silver-grey and beige tones. The intricate wrought iron frames incorporate scrollwork feet, open scrolled arms, and a decorative floral and leaf motif along the curved top rail and supports. Practical proportions measure 105 cm high, 68 cm wide, and 68 cm deep, with a seat height of 38 cm. Designed for comfortable everyday seating, these heavy and robust armchairs bring character to a living room, study, or bedroom setting. The combination of tactile hide upholstery and patterned brocade creates a distinct visual contrast against the distressed white-painted metal framework. They suit both traditional and eclectic interior schemes where historic French metalwork and comfortable lounging pieces are desired. Their sturdy construction ensures dependable use as accent or reading chairs in any well-appointed residential space today.
