A handsome and particularly decorative set of eight mid-19th century mahogany dining chairs, now presented with a softly bleached finish that gives the timber a wonderfully understated, contemporary appearance.
The generous drop-in seats have been newly upholstered in a natural linen, complementing the warm, muted tones of the bleached mahogany.

Raised on square tapering legs united by stretchers, the chairs retain the pleasing proportions and restrained elegance associated with 19th-century interpretations of Georgian furniture.
The bleached surface is especially successful, revealing the subtle grain and character of the mahogany while softening the formality of the original design. The result is a highly usable set which sits comfortably in both traditional and more contemporary interiors.

A very attractive and increasingly difficult-to-find set of eight matching chairs, combining period craftsmanship with a relaxed decorative finish. Equally suited to a large country kitchen, informal dining room or a more formal setting.
