Solid Brass Louis XV Revival Table Mirror

Description

A lovely solid brass table mirror, dating from 1900 to 1915 and finished in a decorative Louis XV Revival style. Beautifully cast from solid brass, the ornate frame is adorned with scrolling foliage, flowering stems, beaded borders and an elegant laurel crest, reflecting the influence of eighteenth-century French Rococo design.

The mirror is supported on its original shaped pressed brass base, while the plain cylindrical brass column is a later replacement. This discreet refurbishment preserves the functionality of the piece without detracting from its overall appearance or decorative appeal.
