A George III oak night stand with decorative panels to the front in superb original condition c.1780. Two plank top with moulded edge forming a tray style top. Double doors, which slide open to the front to access the cupboard, with broad decorative fretted panels sat either side of the doors. Faux drawer to the base, which originally pulled open to reveal a concealed bed pan, with a shaped apron below the faux drawer and square legs sat to each corner. Presented in excellent condition with original brass ring pulling handles and a rich colour and lovely patina to the wood. A difficult to find oak version, as these items were mostly made from mahogany. Keep up to date via our Instagram channel - sturmansantiques.

Smaller items are shipped by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes insurance for the item whilst in transit and a guaranteed tracked delivery.
Packing and postage charges for mainland UK are shown for most items on this website. Where an item is large or requires specialist delivery, please contact us with your postcode for a specific door-to-door delivery quote.
