Robert Belcher Antiques has dated this Art Nouveau Table Mirror to the 1880s.
More than a functional mirror, it is a striking work of art, showcasing Moreau's mastery of organic Art Nouveau design.

The richly modelled frame is adorned with cascading honeysuckle stems and flowers that flow naturally around the mirror in exquisite three-dimensional relief. The intricate botanical detailing demonstrates the fluid, nature inspired aesthetic that defines the Art Nouveau movement.

The frame is signed "Aug. Moreau" on one of the lower stems, confirming its authorship by this acclaimed French artist, whose work was widely exhibited during the late 19th century and recognised with numerous awards.

The mirror plate has been professionally replaced at some point in its history and is in excellent condition, ensuring the piece remains perfectly suited to its original purpose while preserving the integrity of the frame.

Presented in very good antique condition, this is a rare and highly decorative example of French Art Nouveau craftsmanship, equally suited to a dressing table, bedroom, hallway or as a statement decorative object.
