This is a fine quality antique English George V solid beech armless revolving small office chair, with a newly uphols
...tered green leather seat, circa 1920, which is in excellent condition. Beech was a popular timber of choice for utility office chairs, owing to the natural strength of grain in functional furniture. The small armless desk chair seat has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality full grain dark green distressed leather, which is finished with hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter. The adjustable height mechanism is in good working order, having been cleaned and restored. There is some play to the revolving mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair. The legs are fitted with new solid brass castors; therefore, they are in excellent condition. The English antique desk chair boasts a golden-brown colour, having been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. This desk chair is solid in joint and ready to use.
