Description

A magnificent Art Deco burr walnut cocktail drinks cabinet of the highest order. This was made in England, it dates from the 1930’s.

It has an absolutely stunning design with an overhanging top, beautifully fitted interior and some of the most amazing burr walnut grain patterns you are likely to see.

The top section is sycamore lined, with removable glass shelves, a mirrored base and mirrored pull out tray serving slide. The inside of the doors are complete with the original juicer and cocktail picks, there are also clips which are designed to hold cocktail glasses by the stems. Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating in the 1920s and 1930s, Art Deco cocktail cabinets were designed as dedicated storage for spirits, glassware, and barware, characterised by geometric forms and figure-rich timber veneers.

These pieces typically feature figured wood veneers such as burr walnut, mahogany, or rosewood, often complemented by brass hardware, glass shelving, and mirrored internal compartments.

Authentic period examples demonstrate traditional joinery, book-matched veneer arrangement, original brass fittings, and functional elements like integrated preparation slides.

Position the piece as a focal point in a dining room or living area, pairing its rich wood tones with complementary ambient lighting and minimalist wall art.

Keep the timber away from direct heat sources and strong sunlight, dust regularly with a soft cloth, and apply a natural beeswax polish occasionally to protect the finish.
