An Edwardian stained beech bentwood café armchair by Thonet, with a shaped solid back crest and studded brown leather back and seat raised on four tapering legs, united by a circular stretcher ring. Impressed THONET stamp to the underside.Produced for daily café use in the early twentieth century, it remains a practical and comfortable elbow chair, particularly well suited for use at a desk.Very good antique condition with some surface wear consistent with age and use.
