1920s Library Card Filing Set of Drawers

A pair of 4-drawer filing cabinets combining wooden construction with metal label-holder and handles which testify the high quality standard for library office furniture of the period.

Displayed as a pair, they can easily function as a pair of bedside tables, but they can be put together one on top of the other to be used as a small chest of drawers.

The dark brown leather effect covering confers to this set a particularly appealing finish.

Manufacture: "Advance" Basilene Super-Grade Card Index Cabinet, an antique filing system produced in Britain since de 1900s.

Very good structural condition with some expected wear and scratches to the surface. The top of one of the cabinet shows more scratches than the other one as can be seen from one of the images.

One of the drawer's spring divider is missing.
