Gilt and Gesso has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Presented in its original condition with a timeworn sun faded beechwood frame, which can be pil d or waxed if preferred but sold as it is with it’s original sprung rattan natural string seat which is in mostly excellent condition, very secure and stable to sit whilst showing some rubbing wear to the front edge, see photos but very useable and fit for purpose.
A structurally excellent chair, a design masterpiece of Bauhaus modernism whilst a useable antique of great function and form. An interior design piece of considerable decorative appeal.
