Yeats Country Antiques has dated this French Bronze Clock Garniture to the 19th Century.
The fabulous bronze modelled dial of circular form is housed in a glass case with foliate and scroll motif detail and features twelve individual white enamel cartouches with the time keeping in roman numerals in black against white ground. The dial is flanked with a striking pair of elegant Neoclassical female caryatid supports to the sides bearing flaming urns and a Neoclassical female masque is set below the dial. Supported on panelled and shaped platform base with a further charming arrangement of foliate, scroll and flowerhead motifs.
