A lovely set of 4 country ladderback dining chairs dating from the early 20th Century. They are made of oak which has a lovely rich patina. They have their original woven rush seats and they stand on turned tapering legs joined by stretchers.The chairs are a good size and are comfortable to sit in. The seats are approximately 16 1/2'' (42cm) high, 16'' (41cm) deep and 20 1/2'' (52cm) wide. The chairs themselves are 40'' (102cm) high.They are in very good condition with no major damages. The chairs are firm and the joints are strong. There are a few knocks and light scuffs around the legs and some minor age-related marks here and there but nothing detrimental. The rush seats have some minor signs of wear in places but are strong and sturdy.
