Sheraton Revival refers to late nineteenth and early twentieth-century British furniture made in the style of Thomas Sheratons original late eighteenth-century designs. The style is recognised for lightweight neoclassical forms, straight lines, tapered legs, and decorative timber embellishments such as marquetry, satinwood crossbanding, and painted swags.

Cabinetmakers primarily used mahogany or satinwood for the main carcase, accented with decorative inlays of tulipwood, rosewood, and boxwood. Hardware typically consists of cast brass ring-pull handles or decorative knobs, while drawer linings are constructed from solid oak or pine.

Authentic late Victorian Sheraton Revival items feature hand-finished dovetailed drawer joints, natural aging on the underside of timber surfaces, and original steel locks. Look for precise marquetry inlay rather than modern photo-printed veneers or mass-produced synthetic finishes.
