An outstanding pair of Japanese Kyo-Satsuma vases, dating to the late Meiji period (c.1890�1905), confidently attributed to the Kinkozan workshop. Both vases are decorated with exceptional finesse � richly layered polychrome enamel scenes with dense gold embellishment and formal Buddhist iconography. The exterior features a cobalt ground with stylised phoenixes in raised gilt.While unsigned, the form, gilding, palette, and detailing match recorded examples from the Kinkozan studio.
