Good Pair of Giltwood Oval Wall Mirrors

Description

An attractive pair of late Victorian giltwood and gesso mirrors with original gilding and good rococo design dating from around 1890.

The pair are a lovely size with unusual smaller proportions than normal being just 45 cms in height by 35 cms wide overall at widest point.

These neat mirrors are a very practical pair suitable for a multitude of situations

The pair are in really good condition for their age and retain their original plate glass set into the gilded wood surround which has a good rococo styling and handsome crest in the Prince of Wales Feather style.

These came from a good property in Driffield North Yorkshire.

Provenance: From the residual contents of Scorborough Lodge

The mirrors measure 45 cms high by 35 wide by 4 deep overall.
