A Wonderful Early 19th Century Banded Agate Box

A gorgeous small trinket box, dating to the early 19th Century. The body of this lovely example is made of banded Agate, mounted in an attractive ormolu framework. The Agate panels are all wonderfully crafted with bevelled edges and a high polished finish, showcasing the colours beautifully. The lid is hinged and the box stands on four matching polished Agate ball feet. A charming piece, being both decorative and usable. Dimensions below.
