19th Century Coromandel Casket Complete With Scent Bottles

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Antoinettes Heirlooms

This is an absolutely outstanding example of luxurious craftsmanship. The coromandel casket is bound with shaped and engraved brass strappings which have a central malachite setting.

The casket has its original working lock and key.

The casket has original hinges

The lid of the casket is forward sloping

The casket is lined with watermark taffeta silk and the internal sections are lined in velvet.

The original bottles have the original crystal stoppers in place and the brass screw tops are also still present.

One bottle still has contents present and I have therefore not tried to remove the glass stopper from that bottle!

Each bottle has facet cut corners and necks.

This is an overall genuine “untouched” casket in superb condition.

Rare to find a complete set with not only working lock but original key.

A most fabulous addition to any collection.
