Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1700s.
Beautifully made with oak cabriole legs that are joined by a wavy flat stretcher. A large, ample and comfortable size, this Queen Anne antique wing chair is a rare survivor, upholstered in later but very good quality thick brown leather that is a wonderful colour. Requires a cushioned seat. A nice added extra is the original lovely little brackets to the front and side rails and also, noting the original support wedges to the underside of the flat stretchers. A superb example of an early 18th century English antique Wing armchair.
