Set of Ten C19th Solid Mahogany Chippendale Style Dining Chairs

Description

Superb quality solid mahogany dining chairs with drop in seats comprising eight dining chairs with two carver chairs dating from around 1880 They have a good weight indicative of the quality of construction They have “h” understretchers on square tapered legs with chair backs having a carved top rail and carved and pierced centre splat Good original condition with tight joints and no breaks to the structure Well patinated finish which has been hand waxed Some blemishes and minor repairs commensurate with age The seats are traditionally upholstered in a quality gold and black lattice patterned fabric
