An exceptionally fine Florentine Mirror with deeply carved and shaped scrolling leaf work. The way the leaf curls over on the crest is especially delicate and detailed work, testament to the skills of the Italian carvers who carried out the work in what was surly a leading workshop of the period. The replaced bevelled mirror plate in good clear condition. It is a remarkable survivor.
