A charming Art Deco musical cigarette box in the form of a piano. When wound, it plays ''Silent Night'' and two little lights driven by batteries come on. At the same time, the metal cigarette holders raise up to offer a cigarette.
It is very unusual, works well and almost certainly German.
The piano itself has inlaid marquetry defining the piano keys and other decoration. Overall the wood used is beech. There is a gilded plaque on the piano lid which shows a violin with a wreath and a music score. All in good condition commensurate with age.
