Hi
I have for sale a very heavy solid ormolu bronze mantle clock with stunning enamel inlay, made in France around 1880 -1900, this is a very rare style mantle clock in very good original condition the size of a standard carriage clock running via a platform fully restored movement.
The Case
The case is in solid bronze with stunning inset gilded flower swags in fact everywhere you look something is happening, this beautiful clock stands 24cm high x 13cm wide with a depth of 9cm.
The Dial
The dial is in original condition gilded with an enamel centre of swags of flowers housed within with a heavy gilded brass bezel, the clock also retains its original steel moon hands.
The Movement
The movement is an eight-day time and strike which stikes the hours and half hours on a small gong to the rear, the movement has been fully restored and serviced so keeping great time over the eight days via the platform escapement.
Overall a very beautiful and very heavy top-end quality French mantle clock by a quality French maker that looks stunning on display and contains all of its original features this is quite a rare find these days find another like this one only for the best collections.
Will post worldwide.
