French Empire 'love Conquers All' Mantel Clock

Fine early 19th century French late Empire or Restauration period gilt bronze ormolu mantel clock, surmounted by finely modelled resting Cupid/Amore on a rocky outcrop with a classical Greek helmet and sword perhaps symbolising love conquering all. Super applied mount to the front of a bow and arrow filled quiver. Lovely example, well cast and chiselled. Eight day silk suspension movement, gilt bronze face with roman numerals, later hands. France, circa 1820.
