Here we have a rare pair of Harvard University VERITAS armchairs by Nichols and Stone c1960. These chairs are very rare in the UK and were brought over by an ex Professor of Harvard in the 1960''s. They are beautifully made from Maple and extremely comfortable. There are wide top rails with the VERITAS logo to the centre. There is a turned spindle back and arms supports with gilded highlights. The arms are well shaped and there is a thick saddle seat. The legs are also turned and joined by stretchers all round and again with gilded highlights. A super pair in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 84 cm high 49 cm deep 58 cm wide.
