Description

An excellent antique Victorian mahogany spoon back armchair. This was made in England and it dates from around the 1860-1880’s period.

The quality is fantastic, it is very well designed and is also extremely comfortable. The solid mahogany frame is very well carved and has a sweeping look. The scroll over arms are beautifully curved and have padded upholstery, this sits on original porcelain casters.

We have had this re-upholstered in our cream cotton fabric, the wood has a gorgeous patina and colour tone. The low front edge has been replaced at some point, this is barely noticeable and doesn’t detract from the overall look. We have had the frame fully re-polished before upholstery, the condition is excellent for its age.
