Description

Large Edwardian Antique Gainsborough Open Armchair

A high quality Irish style antique Gainsborough armchair, large and comfortable proportions and traditionally upholstered. Dates to around 1900 and features good quality carved solid walnut show wood, carved on all four sides and a very good original colour. Stands well on four large cabriole decorative legs. The good quality neutral damask upholstery fabric is in clean condition, just some small spots on the back panel. English made but very much in the Irish country house style. Superb strong condition, all very original.
