A super quality 19th century antique travelling case mirror, designed to be taken on the campaign / military trial, a clever design, the solid mahogany case can be opened up to use three mirrors or angled to use the circular magnifying glass. In very original, lovely condition and with the original wall hanging hook. Well made in solid mahogany with ebony and box wood string inlays. The three mirrors open well on top quality brass piano hinges. Dates to around 1840, just a tiny piece of mirror missing to one corner.When the mirror is folded it is 24cm wide, 72cm wide at the maximum when fully opened out.
