A rather impressive Distressed Antique Period Giltwood Gesso Mirror surviving from around c1780.

Having it''s original Mercury backed Mirror Plate which has achieved the most wonderful distressed foxing to the glass throughout , the mirror is still perfectly useable to use but has that added history and style that is most desirable.

The carved Giltwood frame accompanied by carved roses vines and feathers , some losses to the Giltwood frame which is in structurally sound but distressed condition with hues of red coming through the gilding.

The mirror is missing it''s pine backboards , we can add new ones on request.

A really beautiful item with it''s original plate glass with a greyish colour , a good sign of originality.

The item is offered in good antique condition with wear as expected with furniture of this age.

A real statement piece.
