A simply stunning and very fine quality Dutch 19th century cheval mirror.
c1890.

To the top is an ormolu surmounted shaped pediment centred with a gilt-bronze ribbon & bow motif with musical instruments, surrounded by floral motifs, flanked by elegant flaming urn finials to each stand post.

The gilt-bronze mounts having developed a beautifully aged patination. Having many exquisite highly detailed mounts adorning this fine mirror, so please inspect closely.
Gilt-bronze completely surrounds the original mirror, with the mirror plate having expected but minor signs of age distressing, which simply adds to it`s elegant aged charm.

This very fine mirror stands on four ormolu mounted splayed legs with the most delightful very detailed lion-paw feet, with the original castors.
A very desirable antique mirror which would be an elegant addition to any bedroom, with a very useable mirror.

In excellent antique condition, lovely warm patina to the wood, which has simply been enhanced with beeswax.
Very robust, solid, sturdy and strong.
