Arrowsmith Antiques & Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
There are inset porcelain panels to the domed sides with ultra marine blue background and gilt detail with delicately hand painted musical instruments to the centre.

The clock has a porcelain dial with Roman numerals and painted butterflies and flowers to the centre and a classical romantic scene to the lower part.
The movement is a French eight day duration which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell.

The back plate is stamped with the makers name –
