Culvertons has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The existing upholstery is firm, comfortable, and supportive and only requires a small amount of remedial work and a little extra dressing before it can be recovered. Reusing much of the existing upholstery will help to minimise the cost of refurbishing this antique Howard-style armchair. The original brown porcelain wheel castors that support the turned mahogany front and swept-back legs are also in good order. Overall, it is a good period example of a much sought-after armchair - Culvertons can undertake the restoration and re-upholstery of this chair on your behalf, please contact us for more information.
