A Set Of Four George III Shield Back Dining Chairs

A set of four George III mahogany dining chairs, each with a shield back with a pierced balloon shaped splat with a covered vase and swags to a palmette below, over a generous stuffover seat upholstered in a grey velvet with double piping, and on square tapering fluted supports terminating in spade feet. English, circa 1795.
 
Condition: Overall very good, the chairs are all in good condition, and are solid and robust and with no significant breaks, the upholstery is in excellent condition and was done recently by our upholsterers using a material by Colefax and Fowler. Overall the chairs have a lovely appearance and patina redolent of their era.
