A fine quality rosewood sewing box that dates to around 1815

In excellent original condition with a deep rich waxed finish which highlights the striking rosewood grain and lined with red silk with a nice splayed pattern in the lid.. in fabulous condition, I think it is the original lining

With a polished brass cartouche and escutcheon, brass bun feet and comes with a working lock and key

Measures 12 inches wide, 9 inches deep and 7 inches high

a very nice box that would make an elegant present for a loved one
