Description

A handsome 19th century rosewood brass bound writing box with inlaid brass decoration. The interior containing a leather writing slope, two silver plate topped glass ink bottles, a pen holder, secret compartments, a concealed drawer released by long brass pin and two further well hidden secret drawers opening from a pressure point to the base. It has inset brass carrying handles, the original lock with a key, dark blue leather replaced at a later date. circa 1840
